The Button Place      Webmaster Resources

Yep!  The name says it all...The Button Place.  There are dozens of pages dedicated to those little critters that saturate our websites.  All laid out for you as if this was a "button" department store.  You'll also find plenty of graphics and button rollovers.  You want buttons?  Have we got the place for you!  And the price is right...FREE.  Pick your button, and load it onto your pages.  The only hard part about your "adopted" button is which button to pick!

Full Spectrum Pointillism      Art

Pointillism (aka Stiple) has been taken to a new level, or at least an unheard of level, by Beth Hanna.  Most pointillism is done in black & white.  Beth doesn't believe in black & white.  She uses the full spectrum of colors available to create vivid life-like (and STUNNING!) works of art.  Each piece Beth creates takes over 1,000 hours - or a year and a half - to complete.  That's a lot of dots!  She currently has 3 pieces to view in her gallery with more on the way.  I've done stiple, or pointillism, but she has the medium wrapped up.  Take a look for yourself.  Breathtaking!

Safe Haven      Poetry

A wise man once told me "To receive the gift of a rainbow, there must first be rain."  That quote couldn't be any truer (<---Scrabble word!) than on Kaz's site.  Abuse isn't pretty.  The poetry that came out of Kaz's abuse isn't pretty...it's moving.  Reaches right in and grabs the heart.  It's not all "heavy" poetry, though.  She has some light-hearted verses on her site, as well as visiting poets.  Very well done site.  No use of "back" buttons.  Each poem opens a new window.  Kaz even has her own award that she offers to you.  Check her out!

Artist Studio      Art

Catchy name for a website, don't you think?  Don't let the simple name fool you.  The site is anything but simple.  It's rather detailed.  The "Artist Studio" is a small gallery of Beth Peterson's work.  She has oils, she has watercolors, she has photographs.  Beth also has a collection of FREE clipart and quite a number of articles on topics of interest to us artists.  They include studio environments, logistics of art, artists, and the web.  There is also an expansive section on art as history and process.  Artist Studio...simple name, Beth Peterson...serious artist!

SWART      Digital Art

Serge Winck oversees and directs all projects in this small business for "the small business'" design firm located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Smaller studio=personal attention.  They have some terrific stuff on this site.  Examples of logo's created, cd cover's, etc.  If there is a reason to create art and a surface on which to put it on....SWART has done it, or is currently doing it.  Their "can do" list includes logos, corporate identity, stationary sets, brochures and flyers, labels, book covers....the list is endless.  Seriously, go take a look at this site.  Makes you kind of want them to create something for you!

The Modular Triangular System      Art

This is one MUST SEE art site.  Roy Lawaetz is a Caribbean artist and native of St.Croix, US Virgin Islands. What he offers is truly unique.  In his words..."The Modular Triangular System offers support alternatives for painting on canvas that break away from the hegemony of the traditional rectangle in painting."  In a nutshell, Roy does his paintings in the form (or forms) of triangles.  You have to see this!  He explains why he does it, how he does it, and why you should do it too.  And if you don't have the time to read it all on his site...you can buy his book!

John Matthews      Digital Art

John has made a "feel good" site here. Light hearted and witty.  Originally from England, John has made his move to Tennessee and made his mark there.  His digital art is good.  Real good.  We actually thought that his photographs were taken by a professional.  They are that impressive.  John has a great eye.  He and his digital camera make a great team.  Take a look for yourself.  You, too, will be impressed.

All art on the award winning sites are the property of the artist.  Please be considerate and leave the art where you found it.  Most times, if you ask the artist, they will be happy to let you copy a piece of their work.  But you have to ASK first!  Us artists are very protective of our work.
